4 Days 3 Night Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen Package
Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap – City Tour & Boat Trip (L/D)
Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, you'll be greeted by our friendly guide and driver, who will take you on a tour of the city. First, visit the Western Baray, the largest reservoir built during the Khmer Empire. Spanning 8 km in length and 2 km in width, this impressive structure was part of the advanced hydraulic system the Khmers used to manage seasonal water cycles. Next, explore the 19th-century Wat Bo Temple, one of Siem Reap’s most significant pagodas. After checking in at your hotel, relax before heading out for an afternoon trip to the Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake. This vast body of water, fed by the Mekong River and Tonle Sap River, is central to the Cambodian landscape, with locals living in floating homes. You'll also visit the Old Market for some shopping. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and in the evening, experience a delightful dinner with an Apsara dance performance. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat & Ta Prohm (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll begin our day with a visit to Angkor Thom, the grand walled city of King Jayavarman VII. Here, explore the Terrace of the Leper King, Terrace of the Elephants, Baphuon, and the Bayon Temple, famous for its intricate stone carvings. Continue to the iconic Ta Prohm Temple, where the movie Tomb Raider was filmed. It’s one of the largest temples from the Khmer Empire, with a stunning mix of nature and architecture. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument, renowned for its harmonious design and cultural significance. Don’t miss the sunset view from Bakheng Mountain, though please note the entry is limited to 300 tourists at a time, so we recommend arriving by 4:00 PM. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Phnom Kulen Mountain (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we head to Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain where the Khmer Empire began in 802 AD. Visit Wat Preah Ang Thom, a popular pilgrimage site for Khmers, and admire the impressive reclining Buddha carved into a massive sandstone boulder. Explore the nearby riverbed carvings, featuring hundreds of ancient lingas and depictions of Hindu deities like Shiva and Vishnu. Take a refreshing dip in the nearby waterfall and visit Prasat Krol Romeas, a jungle temple. Later, we'll visit the Chantiers Ecole Artisans d'Angkor workshop, where local artisans preserve the traditional craftwork of the region. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and spend the evening at Pub Street and the Night Market for some local flavor and souvenirs. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
