Day 1: Arrival at Gwalior
Upon landing in Gwalior, we will begin our exploration with the grand Gwalior Fort, an imposing structure that will captivate us with its rich history and architectural marvels, requiring 4-5 hours to fully appreciate. Afterward, we will visit other notable sites, including Tansen’s memorial, where we will pay homage to the legendary musician, and the Jaivilas Palace Museum, which will offer a glimpse into royal life. We will also explore the vibrant Sarafa Bazaar, the serene Sun Temple, and more. For a comfortable stay, we will choose Clarks Inn or explore the delightful MP Tourism hotels, ensuring a memorable experience.
Day 2: Morena Day Trip
A car will be hired through the hotel contact to visit Morena, where the day will be spent exploring temples like Miatwali, Padavali, Bateshwar, and a Shani temple. After returning around 4 pm, there will be time to visit additional sites in Gwalior, including the serene Sun Temple, further enriching the experience with the region’s spiritual and historical charm.
Day 3: Gwalior to Orchha via Khajuraho
The same car and driver will continue the journey to Khajuraho, followed by a drop-off at Orchha. The drive from Gwalior to Khajuraho will take approximately 4-5 hours, and the journey from Khajuraho to Orchha will take around 2-3 hours. For accommodation, there will be a stay at MPT Sheesh Mahal in Orchha, or an option to stay overnight in Khajuraho before driving to Orchha the next day.
Day 4: Orchha
Orchha's forts, Chaturbhuj Temple, Raja Ram Temple, and Chattris will be explored, each offering scenic views and a deep dive into the region's rich history and culture.
Day 5: Orchha to Bhopal
A scenic drive of 7-8 hours will be considered, or alternatively, a taxi from Orchha to Jhansi will be chosen, followed by a comfortable train ride to Bhopal, lasting approximately 3 hours. Day 7: Leisure in Bhopal
The enchanting sights within Bhopal will be explored, starting with the serene Upper Lake and the tranquil Lower Lake, offering peaceful views and a refreshing atmosphere. A visit to the vibrant New Market will follow, where local life and colorful stalls will captivate the senses. The day will conclude with a visit to Van Vihar National Park, where nature and wildlife come together in harmony, providing a perfect retreat in the heart of the city.
