9 Days 8 Nights North East Monoliths Package
Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati airport and meet your North East Explorers representative. Begin the journey to Shillong, stopping en route to visit the serene Umiam Lake. Check into a Khasi homestay in Shillong and enjoy the evening exploring the city’s main market area.
 Day 2: Shillong Local

Spend the day discovering Shillong’s landmarks at a relaxed pace. Visit the Khasi Heritage Museum, Don Bosco Cathedral, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, and Police Bazaar. Enjoy a traditional Khasi lunch before concluding the day. 
Day 3: Shillong – Nartiang – Laitlum – Shillong

Travel to Nartiang to explore the ancient monoliths of the Jaintia Kingdom, dating back nearly a thousand years. Continue to Laitlum Canyon, often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Northeast India, and spend time soaking in the stunning views until sunset. Return to Shillong for the night. 
Day 4: Shillong – Sacred Grove – Heritage Village – Shillong

Visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove, a site revered by the local Khasi tribe. Take a guided walk through the forest, learning about its cultural and ecological significance. Explore the nearby Khasi Heritage Village before heading back to Shillong. 
Day 5: Shillong to Cherrapunjee

Journey to Cherrapunjee, known as the rainiest place on Earth. Along the way, stop at Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Viewpoint, Wah Kaba Falls, Arwah Caves, Dainthlen Falls, Nonkalikhai Falls, and Mawsmai Caves. Check into a homestay in Cherrapunjee for the night. 
Day 6: Cherrapunjee – Living Root Bridge – Cherrapunjee

Embark on a trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge of Nongriat, starting from Tyrna village. After the trek, return to Cherrapunjee for an overnight stay. 
Day 7: Cherrapunjee – Mawsynram – Cherrapunjee

Take a day trip to Mawsynram, famous for its lush greenery and record-breaking rainfall. Enjoy the scenic landscapes before returning to Cherrapunjee. 
Day 8: Cherrapunjee to Mawlynnong

Travel to Mawlynnong, celebrated as Asia’s cleanest village. En route, visit Dawki to experience boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River and see the international border between India and Bangladesh. Upon arrival in Mawlynnong, check into a village home and visit the Living Root Bridge in nearby Riwai village. 
Day 9: Mawlynnong to Guwahati

Spend the morning exploring Mawlynnong village before departing for Guwahati. After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati to conclude your journey.
